What happens?
  • Worship starts at 11, and goes on until about 12.30. It's shorter when we have an all-age service. Afterwards there's usually tea and coffee.

  • We sing a fair amount - sometimes traditional hymns but mostly contemporary songs.

  • There are times to pray, often led from the front but sometimes open for anyone to take part.

  • There is an offering of money (one way our regulars express their commitment to God)

  • There is a fairly lively talk exploring a passage from the Bible.

  • Sometimes we share bread and wine in an ancient ritual that is often called Communion, which is done to remember what Jesus did for us on the Cross.

What about my kids?

Usually children enjoy worshipping with us for about twenty minutes then go into the their own group, where they will explore a Biblical theme or story through fun activities.

The kids have their own room and their leader is Marnie Hampson.

A few times a year, we have an "All-age Service".  These are fun times when we worship and learn all together.  We try to make sure there is something for everyone.

Do I have to...

... do anything?

No.  You're welcome just to sit and listen and think; though if you want to take part you are welcome to do so!   Nobody will take any notice if you pass the offering bag or the Communion bread and wine on to the next person.

... dress smart?

No!

Wear whatever you are comfortable wearing.
